KNIPEX ErgoStrip® PV (Photovoltaic) has been specially optimized for the needs of solar installers: it can strip weather-resistant and tough PV cables for 4 and 6 mm² (12 and 10 AWG). Innovative pistol grip design for easy cutting, stripping and longitudinal cutting of the sheath. Length stop for PV cables: adjustable from 1/4" - 3/4" for repetitive stripping lengths, suitable for all standard solar connectors. Conical, slimmed down tool ends for better access in confined areas. Wire stripping for PVC single conductors with cross sections 0.2 / 0.3 / 0.8 / 1.5 / 2.5 / 4.0 mm². Easy to locate stripping holes by using one of the locating ridges. Opening spring and locking device make the tool easy to open and secure. Thumb rest area for firm grip of the tool. Cable stripping knife for easy longitudinal cutting of cable sheath. Two blades located at the front of the tool to remove outer sheath of NYM cable. Multi-component design with a soft plastic zone for comfortable use and secure grip. Durable housing constructed of fiberglass reinforced plastic.
